Thanks for being AWESOME!
We are grateful for all monetary donations, large or small! We accept all major credit cards, ACH transactions, and Apple Pay. We also accept cash and check donations. For cash donations, please contact us first. Checks may be mailed to our office at the address below.
You can make a lump sum donation or make a scheduled monthly donation. Donations go to support programs within our pillars: Human Services, Health, Education, Recreation, or Arts. We work to ensure funds you’ve donated are directed to the pillars and programs you have indicated (if any.)
All donations stay here in the Heber Valley! We are an IRS-authorized 501c3. When you donate online and provide your email address, we can provide a tax-deductible receipt immediately for your donation. Each tile below represents a separate fund for which the Wasatch Community Foundation is accepting donations. We have five General Funds, one for each pillar: Human Services, Health, Education, Arts, and Recreation. If you feel passionate about donating to a Pillar’s General Fund, we will utilize your funds within that Pillar’s projects as we best see fit. Please continue scrolling down if you have a specific project you’d like to support.
Support a Pillar you feel passionate about. Your funds will be given specifically to the Pillar you donate to for the Pillar’s general use.
Human Services Pillar Fund
Our Human Services Pillar mission is to address the unmet basic needs of residents in Wasatch County, including food insecurity, housing, and public transportation. In addition, we are raising funds for the Area Food Drive, the Christmas Food Bag Program, the Weekend Back Pack Program, and other sponsorship projects. All funds stay local to Heber Valley.
Health Pillar Fund
Our Health Pillar aims to bring people of Wasatch County together to promote health education, health services and living a healthy lifestyle. This year’s programs include the Annual Children’s Health Clinic, the Annual Wasatch County Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Healthy School Awards and other local programs as we see fit.
Education Pillar Fund
The Education Pillar is working to help our Heber Valley educators produce the finest youth on the planet. 2022 initiatives include supporting the UVU Wasatch Campus with a new accredited Hospitality and Tourism degreed program. We are also partnering with UVU and WHS to develop a trades program for the 30% of graduates that don’t go on to college.
Arts Pillar Fund
The Arts Pillar wants to make Heber Valley a destination for arts enthusiasts everywhere. We marshal resources for artistic venues, events, and provide opportunities for local visual, theatrical, dance, and music artisans. Current initiatives are to help facilitate a state of the art community theater for local performances and to support and grow current cultural events.
Recreation Pillar Fund
Our Recreation Pillar enriches the quality of life for residents with recreation activities, parks and facilities that promote health, wellness and fun for all ages. 2022 programs include: Heber Valley Running Club, bike repair stations at some of our more popular mountain biking trails, dog park improvements, supporting the Heber Valley Marathon and Half, and adding more Pickleball Courts to …
We have specific projects we’re funding that are nestled within a Pillar’s oversight. If you feel passionate about a specific project, you can donate your funds to that particular project.
Christmas Food Bag Fund
With 1,000+ children in our Heber Valley experiencing food insecurity, we wanted our most vulnerable population to not go hungry over the school break during the Christmas holidays. Food is purchased and distributed to the families participating in the Operation Hope program. Last year, 1,200 children received holiday food bags in Heber Valley.
Weekend Backpack Fund
One in eight children in the state of Utah go hungry, and about 1,000 of those live here in Wasatch County. Youth don’t go to food pantries, so our Human Services Pillar provides a program where the food pantries go to them. School-age children can discretely come and load their backpacks at school with food for the weekend.
Roonies Recognizes orchestrates local volunteers to package rice and bean meals. Your donation will 100% go back into the community in the form of food and supplies to make meal packs. Meal packs are offered at local food banks and the Wasatch County School District’s Backpack Program.
Thanksgiving Dinner Fund
Having a sense of community is an important part of overall health and well-being. This annual program is a community Thanksgiving Dinner provided by local restaurants and donors alike. We invite all to attend, and we ensure our most vulnerable residents are invited to participate.
UVU and Wasatch High School Trades Fund
Approximately 30% of Wasatch High School graduates don’t go on to college. We’re working with UVU and Wasatch High School to provide funds for a new trades program. Funds are required for equipment and staff, and partnerships for student training are needed in HVAC, plumbing, electric, and construction industries.
The Heber Valley Marathon and Half
WCF has partnered with the Endurance Sports Summit, bringing you the Valkyrie race, and the Heber Valley Marathon and Half. Starting at Jordanelle, going through Heber and Midway and concluding at Soldier Hollow, this is a race held annually on Father’s Day weekend for residents and visitors alike.
