Communications Director

This is a volunteer/non board member role. Primary role will be focused on expanding brand, expanding awareness and event communications support. Partner closely with Marketing Lead to execute marketing plan for the year. Will manage the website and changes/updates. Will participate as part of the monthly Executive Committee Meeting and stay aligned with all pillar leads to ensure awareness of all activities needing communications support. Estimated time commitment is 20 hours per month.

Key Activities:

• Attend monthly executive committee meeting

• Compile and maintain annual event calendar as input to the annual communications plan

• Establish annual communication plan to ensure all activities can be effectively supported

• Update OURWCF.Org website as needed. Establish regular update cycles

• Leverage and post on various social media and news outlets.

• Inform news channels, authorities, and partners of upcoming events and post event stories, including but not limited to Wasatch Wave, Heber Valley Life Magazine, KPCW, Wasatch County, Heber City, Midway City, CCPC, WISD, Wasatch Education Foundation, Heber Valley Chamber, Rotary, BNI, business associations, etc.

• Share posts with ASK Heber, ASK Midway and other facebook/IG groups on a regular basis

• Work closely with board members, business development, and marketing lead to draft and execute various communications, including fundraising and other business development activities. Using Excel, mail merges and creating labels may be necessary.

• Create and publish a quarterly newsletter. Assist in compiling stories form Chair, and other board members for newsletter content.

• Compile stories and publications about projects undertaken or supported by Client and any positive effect that may have resulted

• Manage and store all documents on the organization google drive.
