Kathy Carr

Board Vice-Chair

Kathy Carr has been in the Heber Valley for over 30 years with her family. As an active member of the community, she has served in many capacities. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Child Psychology and family studies.

Kathy has been an advocate for youth, doing public policy in Washington DC and Utah. She’s won the Rose Kennedy Award for fighting poverty and has consulted with and evaluated youth and family programs around the country, and overseas in Japan and Brazil. She believes that every child deserves a childhood and that families, however they may look, deserve to thrive.

Kathy continues to advocate for education and social services. She’s worked with schools, private communities and the military to develop family programs. She has directed many programs and has been recognized for her work in helping to fight poverty, advocate for after-school services and outdoor recreation. 

Kathy is married with 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren. She loves the Heber Valley and the opportunity to serve.
