Kathy Carr
Board Vice-Chair
Kathy Carr has been in the Heber Valley for over 30 years with her family. As an active member of the community, she has served in many capacities. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in child psychology and family studies. Kathy has been an advocate for youth, doing public policy in Washington DC and Utah. She’s won the Rose Kennedy Award for fighting poverty, friend of childcare award for Utah and the Ambassador award with the Salt Lake City chamber for her national conference she brought to the state following the 2001 winter Olympics.
Education is an important focus as she has helped in evaluations of public and private schools, military bases, and preschools around the country and overseas.
As a teacher, she has trained and created workshops for educators who work with students in early childhood and elementary education. She has created many programs and directed whole family programs in her 30 plus years career.
