Timothy Ricks

Legal Chair &
Recreation Pillar Chair

Tim was born in Provo, UT, served an LDS mission in Japan, and graduated from BYU in Asian Studies. He then went on to study law at The George Washington University in DC.  His professional life involved working as an attorney in Manhattan and then as Vice President, International Counsel for Revlon, specializing in international corporate and transactional law.

Following retirement in 2014, Tim and his wife Betsy moved to Heber, then immediately left for 18 months serving as the attorney for the LDS Church in the Asia North Area, living in Tokyo. After returning to Heber, Tim and Betsy served as missionaries in the Utah Provo Mission.

Tim and his wife Betsy have 6 children and 13 grandchildren who live in Boston, Albuquerque, San Francisco, Salt Lake and Provo. In high school and college years, Tim was involved in ski racing and still loves skiing, especially in the backcountry. He is the Energizer bunny has competed regularly in distance running and triathlons, and enjoys cycling (mostly road), waterskiing, tennis, and hiking.
